10g Neomycin, Polymyxin B Sulphate, Bacitracin Zinc, and Neomycin Sulphate Powder is a topical antibiotic medication used to prevent and treat minor skin infections caused by bacteria. Often sold under the brand name Neosporin, this combination of three different antibiotics provides a broad spectrum of antibacterial action against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Each active ingredient works differently to stop the growth of or kill bacteria: neomycin inhibits protein synthesis, polymyxin B increases cell membrane permeability, and bacitracin interferes with cell wall formation.
