Oxcarbazepine is an anti-epileptic medication, also known as an anticonvulsant, used primarily to treat partial seizures in adults and children. The brand name Oxantra contains 150mg of the active ingredient, which works by reducing the abnormal and excessive electrical activity in the brain that causes seizures. It is structurally related to carbamazepine but with a different metabolism profile that often results in fewer side effects and drug interactions. Upon oral administration, oxcarbazepine is rapidly converted into its active form, the monohydroxy derivative (MHD), which is responsible for most of its anti-seizure effects. 

600mg oxcarbazepine tablets are used to control seizures associated with epilepsy. The drug works by stabilizing nerve impulses in the brain and can also be used to treat nerve pain and other conditions, such as bipolar disorder. It is available under various brand names and as a generic medication. 

300mg Oxantra Oxcarbazepine tablets contain the active ingredient oxcarbazepine, an anticonvulsant or anti-epileptic drug. It is prescribed to treat and manage seizures, particularly partial (focal) seizures, in both adults and children with epilepsy. The medication functions by stabilizing the electrical activity in the brain and inhibiting the repetitive firing of nerve impulses that cause seizures. It is available as an immediate-release tablet that can be taken with or without food, typically in two doses per day as directed by a physician.
